Top Wedding Trends To Follow in 2021
Popular Dates
It is a new decade, and there are many beautiful dates to get married on, for example, 21/02/2021. People have been following the symmetry of numbers in the dates to have a memorable wedding. Do go on and check some significant dates to have a wedding this year.
Sustainability
Couples have been more cautious about an eco-friendly wedding for the past few years. The guests have been taking notice and trying to do their part for it. Weddings can take months to organise, and a large carbon footprint is bound to be left behind while organising an event of such scope. From scrapped dress material to menu sampling, couples are trying to be more mindful.
Outdoor Ceremonies
The number of church weddings increased last year. Couples these days are trying to choose venues that are more adventure-like. Most couples are choosing venues with picturesque backdrops to have their wedding and reception.
Long Banquet Tables
Small round tables are no more in fashion. They are replaced with long banquet tables and with an added attractive fairy lights lighting outdoors. This is becoming a more appealing design.
Floral Colours
Colours are back in trend. Couples are choosing to have more colorful flowers as a part of their decor and the bouquet. Even the grooms have started wearing attractive and bright coloured suits as opposed to the norms.
Photo Booths
A photo booth is fun for guests of all ages and is entertainment for your attendees when they need a break from the dance floor. If you want to present a meaningful keepsake for the guests, a photo from the booth answers that. You can customise the background of the images to include your wedding theme decor and date so your guests will remember the day.
Welcome Box with Hand Sanitiser and Social Distancing Signs
This year, it is the norm to have social distancing signs nad hand sanitiser at a wedding at every other corner this year. To welcome the guests and make them feel cared about, handing small gifts to them with mini hand sanitisers and masks are now a trend.
Mismatched Seating
In the past, ceremony spaces and reception venues had standardised seating options (square, rectangular, circular, the possibilities are endless), often without mixing and matching layouts. With unconventional reception designs on the rise, mismatched tables (some for four and others for six) not only safely reflect this time, but they photograph gorgeously.
Single Tier and Mini Cakes
Couples are tweaking the norm of multi-tiered cakes these days. Instead, a trio of single-tiered cakes looks more attractive now and have a major wow factor.
Guest Dress Codes
A coloured dress code is something back in style at weddings, including a line in the invitation asking the guests to wear a specific coloured dress so that the groom and the bride stand out.
Videography
Thanks to our social media consumption, a wedding video and a teaser have become as important as photos for couples looking to document their wedding day more stylishly. The question is no longer whether or not to video the special day but rather to which skilled video team to collaborate. So hello. We are Everlane Photo & Video.
